Sacred morning routine
How do you start your morning?
By hitting the snooze button on your phone a couple of times?
Lounging in bed lazily for 30 minutes?
Taking a hot cup of coffee and staring at nothing?
Or maybe, you’re like a client of mine. When he wakes up, the first thing he does is look at his phone to check emails.
But that’s a bad idea. Why?
Because he’s piling on stress before he’s even fully woken up.
He opens his eyes, shoves a bright screen right in front of his face, and immediately puts himself into work mode. Maybe he jumps on social media too or checks a few of his texts.
He already has work on his mind from the first minute. And that can create a ton of anxiety.
By doing this first, it becomes the reason why he has to rush through his morning. The emails have put him in work mode. At the back of his mind, he needs to act quickly so he can get started on his day.
Is it the same for you?
We all start our day differently. But you need to start realizing that what you do first thing in the morning matters.
A poor or rushed morning routine leaves you feeling like garbage even before you step out of the door.
If you want to start the day feeling like you can take on the world, you need a sacred morning routine!
This is a routine that should put you in the right mindset and disposition to take on your day. If you start your day right, nothing can stand in your way.
You need to have a plan. You have to sit down and plan what you have to do the moment you wake up. This will take some time to get used to. But I know it will be worth it.
In fact, I have my own sacred morning routine. And by the time I’m done, I’m ready to go and I know that nothing can stop me.
You should try it.
If you need help and direction, I’m happy to help.
